They’re getting better about signaling to us what they see their customers searching for, and where there are content gaps in meeting those needs.

Google Sheets is Great for Keywording

I’m all about hacks. Anything that saves a few minutes on tedious tasks is making more time for creating content, or just enjoying life.

That’s why I love this keywording hack, which I shared in my microstock for beginners course. Have you tried Google Sheets as a keywording doc? Here’s how it looks, and see below for the benefits…

  1. It counts keywords. Paste this cell beside your keywords cell, and it will count the keywords as you type them, so you know before you hit the dreaded 50: =LEN(TRIM(C1))-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(C1," ",""))+1

    Just replace C1 with the cell number containing your keywords.

  2. It checks your spelling. Highlight the cell, go up to Tools, and click Spelling. No more worrying that you’re misspelling those essential words your customers will type to find your image or video.

  3. It keeps your words in one searchable place. Keywording an image that is similar to a prior pic that sells well? Easily search, copy and paste the words you already used so you’re not duplicating efforts.
